The Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA) is set to launch an exhibition titled ‘A Dream for Humanity’ on the banks of the River Seine in the French capital, Paris.
The exhibition is set to include photography by world-renowned photojournalist Reza Deghati as well as photographs from the ‘Faces’ initiative by HIPA which involved photography of and by Syrian children in a refugee camp in Northern Jordan. The exhibition is set to run from the 26th of July until the 15th of October 2015, on the banks of the River Seine.

Commenting on the launch of the exhibition, the Secretary General of HIPA, His Excellency Ali bin Thalith said “HIPA undertook the sponsorship of the ‘A Dream for Humanity’ exhibition to be part of our wide-ranging humanitarian responsibility and to document the living conditions of global refugees and their everyday struggles. We also feel that it is our moral obligation to raise awareness of the current plight of Syrian refugees and their bravery in telling us their stories by staring into the lens of a camera”.
Bin Thalith continued that “HIPA is a photography competition which is not restricted by the artform but rather empowered through it to change the lives of as many people as possible. This can be done by repeatedly documenting the hardships faced by global refugees, and what better photographer to do this with than Mr. Reza Deghati, who is a global ambassador for photography and the humanitarian aspect of it. Reza’s photography has changed the lives of many people around the world and we hope to impact more people in the coming period through our joint project, ‘A Dream for Humanity’.

HIPAA apresenta ‘Um sonho para a humanidade’ exposição em Paris
O Prêmio International de Fotografia Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award (HIPAA) está pronta para lançar uma exposição intitulada ‘Um sonho para a humanidade’ nas margens do Rio Sena na capital francesa, Paris. A exposição é definida para incluir fotografia pelo mundialmente renomado fotojornalista Reza Deghati, bem como fotografias da iniciativa ‘Faces’ pela HIPAA, que envolveu crianças sírias num campo de refugiados no norte da Jordania pela fotografia. A exposição estará abertar a partir de 26 de julho até 15 de outubro de 2015, nas margens do Rio Sena.
Comentando sobre o lançamento da exposição, o secretário-geral da HIPAA, sua excelência Ali bin Thalith disse: HIPAA comprometeu-se o patrocínio da exposição “Um sonho para a humanidade” para fazer parte de nossa ampla responsabilidade humanitária e documentar as condições de vida dos refugiados globais e suas lutas diárias. Nós também sentimos que é nossa obrigação moral de sensibilização para a atual situação dos refugiados sírios e sua coragem em contar-nos suas histórias por olhar para a lente de uma câmera”.
Bin Thalith continuou que “HIPAA é um concurso de fotografia que não se restringe a forma de arte mas prefiro poderes através dele para mudar a vida de tantas pessoas quanto possível. Isso pode ser feito por várias vezes, documentando as dificuldades enfrentadas pelos refugiados globais e o melhor fotógrafo de fazer isso, o do Sr. Reza Deghati, que é um embaixador global para a fotografia e o aspecto humanitário. Fotografia do Reza mudou a vida de muitas pessoas ao redor do mundo e esperamos para o impacto mais pessoas no próximo período através de nosso projeto conjunto, ‘Um sonho para a humanidade’.
