HIPA to launch photography competition at the World Air Games 2015
The Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA) along with SkyDive Dubai are set to launch a ‘Photo Competition’ at the 2015 World Air Games at the SkyDive Dubai Palm Drop Zone from the 1st until the 12th of December 2015.
The competition is set to be divided into two main categories themed ‘Up Above’ and ‘Down Below’ each of which have three prizes up for grabs with first placed winners receiving $6000, second placed winners $4000 and third place winners receiving $2500.
Commenting on the upcoming competition, the Secretary General of HIPA, His Excellency Ali bin Thalith said “We hope that the upcoming competition at Sky Dive Dubai will bring some of the best professional and amateur photographers from within the UAE and abroad”. Bin Thalith continued “We have decided to split the competition into two categories to allow photographers who take action photographs in the air to compete against one another in ‘Up Above’ whilst also affording conventional photographers on the ground the chance to snap the best photographs on the days of the event and submit them in ‘Down Below’.
